Our mission
About Gramiyam Sangh
A village home for the later years.
Since 1996, Gramiyam Sangh has provided a safe, caring home for elders in Uthamapalayam — a place where age is respected and community is part of the care.

Our story
Rooted in a village, built for its elders.
Gramiyam Sangh was established in 1996 to serve older people in Uthamapalayam and the surrounding villages of Theni district. Many of our residents spent their lives in these villages; our home is designed to let them stay close to the place and people they know.
We care for 25 elders with the support of the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment and the generosity of local donors. The home provides food, shelter, health care, yoga and recreation, and celebrates the festivals that give the year its shape.
Our approach is intentionally personal. With a small number of residents, our team can know each person's history, preferences and needs — and can respond to them with the respect they deserve.

Our vision
A village society in which every elder can live out their later years with safety, respect and a sense of belonging.
What guides us
Values we try to practise, not just publish.
These principles shape how we care for people, spend money and work with families and partners.
Belonging
We keep our home small so that every resident remains a person, not a number.
01Nourishment
Good food, suited to older bodies, is a foundation of good care.
02Festival
We make room for joy, prayer and celebration as part of a full life.
03Respect
Every resident's history, habits and choices are treated with care.
04Milestones
A story told in years.
Not everything that matters can be measured. But these moments mark the road that brought us here.
